Tom Ormerod is the co-founder of Luxico and Staylonger, two ventures transforming the way people experience luxury accommodation and flexible living.
In 2013, Tom co-founded Luxico with his wife, Alex Ormerod, creating the first luxury short-stay platform offering five-star homes with hotel-style service and personal concierges. Over the past decade, Luxico has grown into a national brand promoting hundreds of premium properties and hosting over 60,000 guests.
In 2025, Tom and Alex launched Billion Dollar Playground, a major television series on Binge/Foxtel, BBC in the UK, and other international networks, showcasing Australian hospitality in spectacular homes and the stories behind them.
Tom is now launching Staylonger, a platform for furnished mid-term stays of 30+ nights, designed for flexible professionals, insurance stays, renovators, and anyone between homes. Staylonger aims to bridge the gap between short-stay OTAs and traditional real estate platforms.
